Pat is a Chicago-based actress (AEA / SAG-AFTRA) and award-winning playwright. Up next, Pat will play the lead in the world premiere of Reap The Grove at Artemesia Theatre. Recently, she was seen on stage in American Theater Company's production of Picnic, as well as in multiple staged readings around the city. She also has a recurring role on Chicago Med. Prior, she appeared in Victory Garden's critically acclaimed productions of The Whale, In the Next Room or the vibrator play and Hannah Free (as well as the film of the same name, starring Sharon Gless). As a long-time artistic associate at About Face Theatre, Pat has appeared in numerous productions there including What Once We Felt, Pulp, Seven Moves, Fascination, The Terrible Girls, Whitman, Dancer from the Dance and Cloud Nine. Other credits include productions with the Goodman Theatre (Finding the Sun, Dancing at Lughnasa), Northlight Theatre (All in the Timing), Collaboraction, Live Bait, Stage Left, Bailiwick, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, and workshop productions with NYC’s Tectonic Theatre Group.
Pat's plays include Pulp (4 Joseph Jefferson Award nominations – including Best New Work, winning for the music and lyrics; After Dark Awards – Best New Work, Best Production); Float (3 Joseph Jefferson Award nominations – including Best New Work); Seven Moves (adapted from the novel by Carol Anshaw) and Chords. Pat also is the recipient of the Trailblazer Award for her work in gay and lesbian theatre.
And...she's a 4th degree black belt in Seido Karate.
